Maccreanor Lavington has unveiled plans for two residential towers in north west London as part of the £1bn Old Oak Common regeneration scheme.

Sainsbury's has confirmed an Ilford branch will be closing with submitted plans to convert it into flats and student accommodation. The supermarket on Roden Street, in the town centre, is set to be closed following possible development plans to provide 837 homes and 447 student accommodation rooms.

Preston City Council planning officers have recommended that councillors give the go-ahead to the scheme. More than 200 student flats are set to be built on part of Preston's former divisional police headquarters.
